Finding time to post these days is getting tougher, now that I'm with the family, it's back to "never leave Danielle alone" mode, and so it's a little harder to get time to think.
Last thursay I got on a plane 3 times, and ended up right here in my little town, easy easy, no problem, I hope they keep this runway.
We then drove to Indiana to Shipshewana to get Brett a chocolate lab puppy. It was HOT, but we brought "Booger" home, and that was totally worth it. Booger is driving us all crazy and we love it at the same time. I feed him, take him out, he pees, he plays with Zeus, I bring him in, he shits on the carpet, tears a hole in my socks, and chews on the only working phone charger cord. All in a span of 45 seconds. He's a magical terror of cuteness! It's like "Marley" from the movie... he probably will get that big too. Brett better watch out.
The next few days were mostly "dad" errands and such. Wednesday night was my first night of maintenance chemo, and now finally 2 people have witnessed the drama that is "first night of chemo." My dad and Sherry were up with me, fussing over me, and by the next afternoon I was all hooked up with all sorts of new anti-nausea meds. Ooooh man, think about this one for a second. If you are vomiting and need to ingest a medicine so it will make you stop vomiting, where do you put it? Yup.......
Today I feel fine, but it's cold and rainy and icky out. BLEH. Simon the cat is harassing me, he wants to be loved up so bad he can't stand it! While the meowing, purring, rubbing, and slobbering ensues, Brett is taking the opportunity to watch a movie while Booger is passed out.
I finished reading "The Shack" again. I need a reminder every once in awhile. It's one of those books I can keep rereading. I'm like that with "The Five People You Meet In Heaven" book also. It's like that when you find a favorite, every time you read it you find out something different.
Well, every day is different, yet the same, and being with the family is good, even when I'm not feeling well. Today I'm having a tough day, getting frustrated and feeling antsy and like nothing is going the way it should. It's stupid small stuff, I think it's a symptom of being cooped up, but it will pass.
For now, I will consider the fact that I only have 3 more nights of chemo ahead, and plenty of interesting ways to battle nausea on my side, one less thing to worry about!
