Well....

So, yesterday was NOT the PET Scan, it was the 6-month MRI, which is informative but not quite definitive enough to make a clear decision. The tumor has still not moved/grown, YAY! This leads to another good piece of news which is: I will stay off chemo until my PET Scan, NEXT WEEK! =) Today and yesterday have been the first two days in months that I haven't had chemo in my system. Funny that the world seems a little lighter? Feels like I've been holding my breath underwater for a long time and although I didn't come up gasping for air, I've still come up. AND... I have been asked to be the keynote speaker for a student group's kickoff meeting for Relay for Life. Students of Albany Against Cancer (SAAC). Next Wednesday night. Albany raises between 80-100,000 for Relay each year, and I'm the speaker to get everyone motivated to get to work! =) I'm really excited! Wednesday Nov 2nd, 8:45pm in the Campus Center Ballroom, for those of you who are local reade...

50th Post!

50 posts, DANG! I talk a lot! I got a little excited today, there is a job that will soon be coming up in my department, as an Assistant Director, that would be like, my DREAM job! Instead of an entry-level, this is an actual "I can move out of the residence halls" and have a REAL life job! Cross your fingers, I'll keep ya'll updated, as soon as I know. I am definitely qualified, but I don't know how interested my top competitors may be...etc. =)  The other issue is the Big C. My department knows my health status, will that keep them from wanting to keep me permanently? Am I too much of a liability? Something to think about... Either way, cross your fingers!! Other than that, Jason and I might have a little adventure this weekend. I need to get off campus Soooo...... we will: Go spend a day in New Haven! We like it there, Yale is a fun campus to walk around, there's Ikea there, (my FAV), and a thai food place that is on point! On the cancer front, I'...

Big News Coming Soon!

Well, I spent my writing time adding pictures... scroll down and have some fun! Please don't laugh too hard at my snowbeast pic. Nice socks Eric, btw... October 27th is the BIG DAY! I am getting a PET Scan, which will show the cell activity of my tumor. It will also tell us if I can be officially declared "in remission" and quit chemo, or if I will still have a little while to go. I'm having my Doc appointment the very same day so I don't have to wait. =) Smart Doc, she knew both my dad and I would stalk her, so she was better off to give me some answers the same day! Hehe. In the meantime, it's work work work work work, oh, and some more work. Oh, and a nap. I had chemo this last Wed-Sun, so I'm needing to nap more for the next few days. No biggie, not a tough work week, the students had a little break over the Jewish holiday so there's not a stack of incident reports for me to do, I can focus on the fun stuff like all of our BREAST CANCER AWARENE...
